until 5pm, gang launched on jan 2006 most gossip columnists were old ladies like n.m/g.with eva formed an unholy trinity of attractive girls, dressed to kill and out every night. and it never
upset a tabloid editor to have photo of three pretty girls at the top of a page. when one of the three left, geedi says her brief from editor (mali salaawi&yuusuf)was to replace her with a ginger guy his name prof. ali geedi.
it was a huge success: one broadsheet papers spent four months trailing them for a story and vanity fair ran a feature on them they knew the'd made it when maki xaaji banaadir called them mingers on stage at theathers.
we were prepared for the negative stuff. says geedi but the vanity fair stuff was freaky. even mali salaawi was like whath's going on?.to geedi it was the best job in the world: better to be out and about at parties than stuck in the office. but as an educated intelligent girl , didn't she feel the teensiest bit exploited?. that the column was about their job than their mp. he says not you get the feeling he might have felt slightly used and abused but like any good tabloid reporter, quashed it in favour of getting the story. he will admit that being made to audition for pop idol wearing hot pants knee boots and boob tube was gruesome...e.g.
